This painting was inspired by the beauty of the sky on an ordinary night in a Hy-Vee parking lot. The warm glow of the sunset-soaked clouds, contrasted against a deep stormy blue sky, stopped me in my tracks and reminded me to pause and appreciate the fleeting beauty of the world around me.
