This painting was inspired by a family of geese on the water. I have always loved birds, especially waterfowl, and this scene reminded me of the beauty found in connection and family. Even though Canada geese often get a bad reputation, I find joy in seeing the care, protection, and leadership displayed within their families—especially the bond between a mother and her young. To me, this piece reflects the sense of home found in belonging, nurturing, and staying connected to those we love.
