This piece is inspired by the pond in my parents' backyard. My mom lovingly tends the pond, creating a welcoming habitat for frogs, fish, and other wildlife. I’m especially drawn to the lily pads, water lilies, and cattails that transform their suburban Chicago backyard into a quiet, whimsical escape.
